Product Description
Ethanol, a by-product of the sugar industry is made by fermenting the juice extracted from sugarcane. The process of making ethanol starts when the juice is extracted from the cane. The juice is then collected and delivered to the fermentation tank where the yeast reaction occurs and ethanol is produced. Generally, the purity of ethanol is 92-95% after this step, therefore the requirement of water separation is crucial. Ethanol shall also be extracted from Food Grains, considering the increasing demand more grain based ethanol are being produced.
Application
Ethanol has varied usage across various industries, thereby making its production a highly demanding affair. Ethanol, a good oxygenate, when used as a blend with motor spirit, substantially reduces the vehicular emission and thereby reduces pollution. Ethanol is also one of the additives in petrol.
